Well, this'll be short because there's not a whole lot to say. At a little past the halfway point in terms of time, I'm sitting just under 30,000 words of new material on Book #2. In total I've got about 45,000 words of what I consider "real" material on this story, and another 28,000 words or so of my-god-that's-awful. Though to be fair, a sizeable chunk of the real material is also awful. I hate first drafts.
Also, thoughts of a sequel to Along Came December are starting to creep into my brain. Just random thoughts at this point, nothing resembling a cohesive plot. Mordecai just won't leave me alone.
In honor of being halfway done NaNoWriMo, here's a spoiler for the end of Book #2 in the form of a song. I don't listen to music when I write, but I like to have playlists for each book to help get me in the right frame of mind. In addition to being just a great song, it also reveals the identity of the murderer. If you know which character it applies to, that is. Which you don't. But enjoy the song anyway.
